About Digna Plus

DIGNA PLUS are water-based coatings, compounds, and plasters that provide thermoreflective coatings, offering thermal insulation that can result in up to 40% energy savings, in both cold and warm climates. These products are embedded with densely packed polymer microspheres that reflect over 93% of electromagnetic energy across the entire visible light spectrum, including infrared (thermal-IR) waves. These waves aim to penetrate barriers, such as walls or roofs, and disperse within them. However, they’re thwarted by the DIGNA PLUS coatings which reflect them away.

DIGNA PLUS insulating coatings, produced incorporating technologies shared by NASA, stand as top-quality materials enhancing the thermal efficiency of structures. Key benefits of using DIGNA PLUS insulating coatings include:

Aside from their unique insulating feature, these coatings are of exceptional quality due to the use of top-grade acrylic dispersions in their manufacturing process. The composition is further enriched with insulating additives in the form of ceramic and polymer vacuum microspheres, which have proven to be key components of cosmic radiation protective coatings. The coatings’ utility and mechanical properties owe to special compositions of selected polymer additives, which give the coatings exceptional attributes, such as elasticity up to 300%.

The DIGNA PLUS range ultimately represents a pioneering sector of insulating materials, unparalleled in quality and performance. DIGNA PLUS insulating compounds and plasters are designed for both external and internal thermal protection of building walls and other surfaces requiring thermal insulation, e.g., district heating pipes. DIGNA PLUS coatings are suited for exterior and interior applications on almost all building and finishing materials (plaster, concrete, wood, metals, bituminous coverings).

With such benefits, the DIGNA PLUS range of products provides valuable contributions to the field of insulating materials, offering sustainable, effective, and user-friendly solutions for a variety of applications.

DIGNA PLUS products are continuation of development of the IZOLPLUS brand which is covered by patent.

Welcome to a world where insulation meets innovation.

DIGNA PLUS INTERIOR

DIGNA PLUS INTERIOR is a thermoreflective coating for interiors. Its primary role is to reflect over 93% of thermal waves from walls, enhance air convection within the room, and favourably alter the sensation of thermal comfort. Implementing the DIGNA PLUS INTERIOR coating results in raising the indoor temperature by approximately 4-5°C without the need to increase the temperature of the heat source (e.g. radiator). This, in turn, reduces the demand for heating energy, leading to savings of up to 40%.

Moreover, the coating is characterised by excellent vapour permeability, which directly influences wall drying and increases its thermal resistance. Additionally, the coating significantly rectifies micro-cracks on the wall surface, thermal bridges and, consequently, prevents the condensation of water vapour and protect against mold and fungi. Its high adhesion ensures outstanding bonding to all concrete, plaster, and wooden surfaces.

Given its properties, it can be used in residential homes, apartment blocks, hospitals, hotels, offices, government buildings, production halls, garages, in the food industry, animal breeding, and so forth. DIGNA PLUS INTERIOR is a unique material allowing for the thermal retrofitting of heritage sites under conservation protection. There’s also the option to tint it using pigments for emulsion paints.

DIGNA PLUS OUTDOOR

DIGNA PLUS OUTDOOR is a thermoreflective coating designed for building exteriors. Its primary function is to reflect over 93% of the electromagnetic radiation from the sun, which causes the heating of wall surfaces. Applying this coating reduces the façade temperature, ensuring it’s only a few degrees above the ambient air temperature. Consequently, this diminishes the amount of heat energy penetrating the wall and eventually making its way into the building’s interior. A wall constantly heated by the sun starts behaving like a thermal accumulator: it gathers and stores heat energy which, even in the cooler evening hours, continues to radiate warmth inside. Limiting this internal heat infiltration results in tangible electricity savings needed to cool rooms using air conditioning, both during the day and after sunset.

Moreover, the coating boasts impressive vapour permeability, directly contributing to wall drying and boosting its thermal resistance. DIGNA PLUS OUTDOOR cuts down the energy needed for air conditioning cooling by up to 70%. It not only protects insulating materials from degradation and dries the interior of the partition – ensuring its proper thermal resistance and efficiency results in significant savings during winter as well. Additionally, the coating substantially addresses micro-cracks on the wall surface, thermal bridges and, as a consequence, prevents water vapour condensation and hinders the formation of moulds, algae, and lichens.

Given its attributes, it’s suitable for exteriors of residential buildings, flats, hospitals, hotels, offices, government buildings, production halls, garages, animal breeding facilities, and so forth. DIGNA PLUS OUTDOOR is a unique product allowing for the thermal modernisation of historic structures under conservation protection. There’s an option for tinting it, but it’s advisable to use inorganic pigments for emulsion paints. It’s also UV-resistant.

DIGNA PLUS TOP

DIGNA PLUS TOP is a thermoreflective coating intended for roofs. Its primary purpose is to reflect over 93% of the sun’s electromagnetic energy, which contributes to the heating of roof surfaces. By doing so, the resultant roof temperature is only a few degrees above the ambient air temperature, resulting in a reduction of the thermal energy that penetrates the roofing structure and subsequently seeps into the building’s interior. There’s also a reduction in the thermal energy accumulated and stored in the roof during sunny days, which would otherwise continue to warm the interior, even in the cooler evening hours. This limitation on heat ingress translates to tangible electricity savings required for air conditioning during the day and after sunset. DIGNA PLUS TOP not only reduces energy demand during the summer but also protects insulating materials within the roofing structure. The proper thermal resistance and efficiency of these materials result in significant energy savings during the winter as well.

Furthermore, this coating substantially addresses micro-cracks on the roof’s surface, seals it, eradicates thermal bridges, and consequently prevents the condensation of water vapour, hindering the formation of moulds, algae, and lichens.

Given its attributes, it can be applied to the roofs of residential buildings, flats, hospitals, hotels, offices, government buildings, production halls, garages, animal breeding facilities, and so forth. DIGNA PLUS TOP is a unique product that facilitates the thermal renovation of heritage structures under conservation protection. While it can be tinted, it’s recommended to use inorganic pigments with emulsion paints. The coating is also UV-resistant.

DIGNA PLUS BOND

DIGNA PLUS BOND is a thermoreflective plaster intended for building facades. Its core function is to reflect over 93% of the sun’s electromagnetic energy, which is responsible for heating wall surfaces. Using this plaster reduces the facade temperature to only a few degrees above the ambient air temperature. This decrease results in less thermal energy penetrating the wall, which eventually seeps into the building’s interior. A wall continually warmed by the sun starts to act like a storage heater: it gathers and stores thermal energy, which it still emits in the evening, heating the interior even when it’s cooler outside. Reducing this thermal ingress leads to tangible energy savings when cooling rooms with air conditioning, both during the day and at dusk.

Additionally, the coating is highly vapour permeable, directly aiding in drying the wall and enhancing its thermal resistance. The plaster’s thickness also enhances the barrier’s thermal resistance and improves a room’s acoustic insulation. The plaster is notably flexible, sealing and eliminating persistent micro-cracks on the wall’s surface and thermal bridges, thus preventing the condensation of water vapour and the formation of moulds, algae, and lichens.

Beyond its thermoreflective properties, like those in the DIGNA PLUS coatings, these plasters possess other significant attributes showcasing their versatility. Notably, compared to coatings, they are more elastic, allowing them to effectively address persistent micro-cracks on wall surfaces, as demonstrated by DIGNA PLUS BOND.

Among other additional features, the plaster offers soundproofing capabilities and the potential to create decorative textures, including structured plaster designs. Applying the plaster also enhances the barrier’s thermal resistance and its insulative properties. The plasters have a precise and sensitive formula, so it’s vital not to introduce other chemical substances or minerals into them. Like the coatings, they exhibit excellent adhesion to virtually all surfaces that have been degreased, dusted, and are chemically inert.
